I’m Jono Moffat, a  voiceover artist originally from England and now based in beautiful Nelson, New Zealand. With a love for storytelling and a versatile vocal range, I love to bring characters and narratives to life through my voice.

I honed my craft and developed essential voiceover skills at the New Zealand Voice Academy (2017) and supplemented my learning and skills through completion of Gravy for the Brain online courses (2018-2020).

Professional Experience:

• Audiobooks: I’ve lent my voice to eight completed audiobooks, from YA Fantasy novels to non-fiction educational and self-help content.
• Community Projects: At the Nelson Lantern Festival 2019, I provided distinct character voices for 2 talking trees to engage and delight attendees.
• YouTube Campaigns:
• Driver Safety Awareness (2020): I contributed to two playful and engaging YouTube videos, promoting safe driving practices.
• AI Awareness (2024): My voice provided a friendly and reassuring overview while helping raise awareness about artificial intelligence

I have experience in performace as part of the  improv troupe The People’s Republic of Improv (2018-2020) - exploring spontaneity, creativity, and character development - and as Mr Mushnik in Nelson Musical Theatre’s 2020 production of “Little Shop of Horrors”.

My voice is versatile, ranging from warm and friendly to authoritative and energetic, with a range of character voices and accents. Whether it’s a commercial, narration, or character work, I deliver with professionalism and passion.
