Benedict has a background in television, film and theatre working in New Zealand, Australia and the US in all three disciplines. He is a graduate of Neighbourhood Playhouse School of the Theatre in New York City.

Benedict is strong across, NZ, Australian and US accents and has over 30 on screen credits, notable roles include Operation Buffalo (AUS), Shadow in the Cloud (US) and Shortland Street (NZ).
